Where I Live
My family and I moved to the beautiful community of Duvall in August of 2006. Coming from Michigan, we are enjoying the warmer climate as well as the mountains close by.
My Family
My family includes my husband Travis, our daughter Faith, our son Travis Earl and our fur babies. We have two dogs and a cat. Our Siamese Cat's name is Bella Rose and she runs the house. Our dogs are Polly aka Polly Pocket, she weighs around 8 pounds and is in charge of the house when Bella is sleeping and Abbey our Australian Cattle Dog loves to catch frisbee and tennis balls.
Why I Teach First Grade
Teaching First Grade is lots of fun. I get to marvel at the amazing amount of growth that students have academically from the beginning of first grade to the end. My favorite thing about being a teacher is of course the "hugs". I also love being part of a child's learning.
My Educational Background
Master's In The Art of Teaching from MaryGrove College in Detroit Michigan
Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a Science Major and Language Arts Minor from Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant Michigan
Associate in Arts from Alpena Community College in Alpena Michigan.
I am a professionally certificated teacher in Michigan where I taught successfully from 1998-2006.
In Washington, I am certified to teach elementary grades and Language Arts through High School.
Before graduating from college, I was a teacher for the State of Michigan Summer Migrant Program.

My Hobbies
I like to read, walk my dogs, dance, scrap book, garden, hike and explore the natural beauty that make this state a great place to live. I also spend plenty of time taking Faith and Travis to soccer, dance, horseback riding and other activities. Say "Hi!" if you see us out in about in Duvall.
