Gutman, Dan.  The Homework Machine This is a 2009 LIterary High Tea book
The Homework Machine is about four fifth-graders spending no time at all doing their homework--a machine does it for them. BUt when it gets to be too much, they do something with the machine that gets them into trouble with the law. I liked this book because it made me laugh at times and I love realistic fiction. If you're looking for a book to read read this one.

Hobbs, Jamie. Defiance
One of the best books I have ever read was for a book report. Defiance is about a boy named Toby, who has cancer.  and wants to do things like normal kids do. He wants to ride bikes, go fishing and go on hikes. It is a heartbreaking book. You should so totally read this book. Its not even a waste of time, so come an find the book and read it. That's why I think you should come down to the library right now and search for this super book.

The book Rules is an excellent book, one of my favorites actually. The book is about a girl named Catharine who has a brother, David. Because David has autism Catherine has to go with David to his occupational therapy sessions. Sometimes Catherine has trouble with people with disabilities. I think the book was very interesting Its funny at times and sad at times, so I liked that the book was long. So that's why you should take my advice and READ THIS AWESOME BOOK.

Mass, Wendy. Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life.
Read this amazing book! You'll never regret it. It's about a boy named Jeremy Fink who's dad died when he was about 8. Now Jeremy is turning 13. For his birthday, he gets a box  from his dad in the mail. It says that it holds the meaning of life. There are 4 keys that you need to open the box. There is no other way to open it. So Jeremy and his friend Lizzy go through all kinds of adventures to find the keys. Can they find them in time for Jeremy's birthday. This is my all-time favorite book. I like it when Jeremy and Lizzy get caught vandalizing someone's office to find the keys. Read the book to find out if they find them in time.

McDonald, Megan. Stink, The Incredible Shrinking Kid
This book is a really good book, because it is funny and a great book to read. This book is about a boy named Stink. The setting is at his house and at school. The problem is that he is shrinking, not growing taller. You need to find out what happens next in the book.

Penneypacker. Sara. Clementine. This is a 2009 Literary High Tea book
I loved this book. It is about a girl who is called the "hard one" in her family. At school and at home she's always getting into trouble. You will like this book, too, because Clementine does get into trouble and she calls her brother fruit and vegetable names.

Editor's Note: If you like June B. Jones books and are ready to read something a little harder, this would be a good choice.

Life is starting to look good when his old Camp Greenlake friend X-Ray comes with a scheme is supposed to double Armpit's money. Things start to fall out of place again but there are multiple surprises on Armpit's way improving his life.

Sedita, Francesco. Miss Popularity
One of the best book I've ever read is a Candy Apple book, Miss Popularity. Its about a popular girl in Texas. She has to move to Maine and leave all her friends in order to go to a private school where it is so different and dull. She has a hard time making friends and fitting in. Can it all work out for Casey or will she she be unpopular forever? You find out for yourself. I absolutely enjoyed reading this book. I loved how Casey is so creative and fashionable. I would recommend it just to girls. I hope you will read this book and like it just as much as I did.
